Nature art & play

Busy Buddies offers weekly nature programs located at our host site, Holcombe Hill Nature Preserve in Newtown. This location has ample outdoor space, hiking trails, and a nature classroom. We have two program options: Muddy Buddies for children ages 2-6 and their caregivers, as well as Nature Explorers, drop-off program for ages 3-5.

Each class invites children to explore, create, and connect with the natural world through open-ended art, sensory play, and hands-on exploration. The activities are inspired by the changing seasons, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and child-led discovery. From process art using natural materials to messy sensory experiences and outdoor play, children will have the freedom to learn through exploration while building confidence and a deeper appreciation for nature.
