Nature art & play

Nature Art & Play is a weekly outdoor program located at our host site, Holcombe Hill Nature Preserve in Newtown. Designed for children ages 2-6 and their caregivers, these classes will primarily take place outside, with access to the indoor nature classroom.

Each class invites children to explore, create, and connect with the natural world through open-ended art, sensory play, and hands-on exploration. The activities are inspired by the changing seasons, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and child-led discovery. From process art using natural materials to messy sensory experiences and outdoor play, children will have the freedom to learn through exploration while building confidence and a deeper appreciation for nature.
